University of Portland
The North Portland zip-code of 97203 is home to the University Park neighborhood and the University of Portland, a private Catholic university with a roster of over 4,000 students. The University has six divisions of study, including the College of Arts & Sciences, the Pamplin School of Business Administration, the School of Education, the Shiley School of Engineering, the School of Nursing, and the Graduate School. The beautiful University of Portland sits on over 100 acres of park-like campus. The surrounding residential neighborhood of University Park is a great place for alumni, families, and students to live and work.
And, there are some great venues and restaurants in the neighborhood to give you a taste of campus life! One of the most popular places for food and coffee on campus is the Pilot House. Stop by for a beer or wine in the evenings and check out their weekend Pilots After Dark events for live music and comedy shows. Another great place to catch an event on campus is at the Chiles Center. Check out an University athletic event featuring one of the 16 NCAA Division I teams, including the Men’s Basketball team, now coached by former Trailblazer, Terry Porter. Go Pilots!
