Changes to USDA Home Loan Eligibility in Oregon & Washington
 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development recently announced changes to the rural eligibility designation for some areas throughout Oregon and Washington. Starting June 4, 2018, the following areas will no longer be eligible for USDA financing, including the USDA Rural Development Guaranteed Housing Loan Program:

Central Point, OR
Damascus, OR
Hayesville, OR
Grants Pass, OR
Sherwood, OR
Wilsonville, OR
 

Washington

Battle Ground, WA
Camas, WA
Lake Stevens, WA
Maple Valley, WA
Monroe, WA
Mt. Vernon, WA
Prairie Ridge, WA
Silverdale, WA
Spanaway, WA
Washougal, WA
Wenatchee, WA
 

Fortunately, other parts of Oregon and Washington remain eligible for USDA home loan financing and the Rural Development Guaranteed Housing Loan Program.
