Central Oregon Market Summary December 2016 | Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty
December saw lower sales volumes year-over-year in all three markets, while median prices continued their climb higher. Both outcomes are a result of the incredibly low inventory levels we’ve been experiencing for most of 2016. The lower sales numbers were likely also an effect of the record setting snow fall from mid-December to mid-January – only the very hearty were out shopping for a new home during our “snowpocalypse”.
2017 will likely bring more of the same, though a lot will ride on the new administration and how effective they are in implementing their pro-economic-growth policies. Stay tuned.
