Holiday Express – November 24–December 17
Take a magical holiday train trip with Oregon Rail Heritage on the Holiday Express! Travel on vintage rail cars from Oaks Park Station through the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge to the Springwater Trail and back. Be on the look out for a special appearance made by Santa Claus and his elves.

Christmas Tree Elegance – November 28-December 10
Eighteen beautifully decorated Christmas trees will be on display at the historic Davenport Hotel and River Square Park in Spokane during Christmas Tree Elegance. Raffle tickets to win the trees are available for just $1 per ticket. This annual fundraiser raffles the decorated trees to raise money for the Spokane Symphony Orchestra.

Hood River Holidays – December 1
Head to Hood River for the perfect holiday kick-off event – Hood River Holidays! Experience the charm and character of Hood River and celebrate the upcoming holiday season at the holiday parade and tree lighting. Hood River provides the perfect opportunity to get some holiday shopping done at their unique downtown shops.

America’s Largest Christmas Bazaar – December 1-3
If you’re looking for a truly unique shopping experience this holiday season, look no further than the America’s Largest Christmas Bazaar at the Portland Expo Center. Find gifts and treats for everyone on your list – many of them locally handcrafted.

Handel’s Messiah – December 8-11
The Christmas tradition of Handel’s Messiah is alive and well in Portland! Messiah, composed by George Frideric Handel, has become one of the most performed works of musical history and is most popular during the holiday season. Catch a live performance by the Portland Baroque Orchestra at the First Baptist Church this December.

Holiday Half Marathon & 5K – December 10
Get your blood pumping and kick your holiday spirit into high gear at the Holiday Half Marathon & 5K in Portland! The biggest holiday race in the region winds through North Portland and across the St. John’s Bridge, and concludes with a fun holiday celebration for all participants. After the race, treat yourself to some seasonal craft brew, holiday soup, hot chocolate, and other goodies.
