Noon Tunes Concert Series
Take your lunch break in the Square and enjoy some free entertainment courtesy of Noon Tunes! Portland’s best local and regional musical artists share their talent from noon to 1:00 p.m. every Tuesday through August.


International Rose Test Garden Tours
See the famous Rose Garden as you’ve never seen it before. Free public tours are offered daily at 1:00pm during the summer. Learn about the 4.5 acre park and facts about some of the 650+ varieties of roses.



Chamber Music Northwest Summer Festival
This five-week summer festival is one of America’s top music festivals dedicated to promoting chamber music. Performances, featuring over 100 acclaimed artists, are held at Reed College and Portland State University.

 


 

Outdoor Movie Venues
We all know that going to see a movie has gotten out-of-control expensive. Has paying $10 for a bag of popcorn left you wondering about alternative options? Good news! Outdoor movies are not only a great way to enjoy a warm summer evening, most of the time they’re free! Here is a list of just some of the venues featuring outdoor movies during the summer:

Flicks On The Bricks

FREE! Family-friendly movies in Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Movies in the Park – Portland
FREE! Find a schedule of over 40 movies located in parks throughout the city over the course the summer. Select movies include Spanish subtitles.

Movies in the Park – Vancouver

FREE! Family-friendly movies show at six different Vancouver parks and Columbia Tech Center throughout the summer.

Flicks By the Fountain – Beaverton
FREE! Flicks By The Fountain features a viewing of select short films from students of the Beaverton School District before the feature film.

Night Movies at Cartopia
FREE! Movies are shown every Sunday during the summer at Cartopia, the famous collective of food carts located off of Hawthorne Boulevard.

99W Drive-In

The old fashioned drive-in theater in Newberg is one of the last of its kind. Open Thursday through Sunday and featuring select new(ish) films.


NW Film Center’s Top Down Rooftop Cinema
Screened atop the Hotel deLuxe, is the NW Film Center’s annual Rooftop Cinema program. Featuring local food carts, great views, and a quirky selection of films.

NW Film Center’s Drive-In at Zidell Yards
A pop-up drive-in movie theater under the Ross Island Bridge. Attend in your car or grab a spot with a chair in the front. Local food cart vendors on site.

Movies in the Garden
Movie screenings at sunset on the beautiful Garden Green at the Oregon Gardens. Food and drink available for purchase.
